Following the launch of the A-8 dynamic speaker in 1937, we were one of the first to build and market a stereo system with speakers that were separate from the amplifier. This quickly became the industry standard, and our legacy as a pioneering high fidelity manufacturer began.
In the 70s, we introduced the SX-1980 – the first of our best-known AV receivers. With an official rating of 270W per channel and a total harmonic distortion (THD) rating of less than 0,03%, it was (and still is) one of the most powerful receivers ever made.
